Commercial Exhibitors
IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU SHOULD READ BEFORE FILLING OUT
YOUR COMMERCIAL EXHIBITORS APPLICATION

Before filling out your Commercial Exhibitors application, please review the following requirements and details involved with
becoming a commercial exhibitor at the San Joaquin County Fair. Please be sure that your on-site representative also has a copy
of this information. Once you have read all the info, go ahead an click on application at the bottom of this page for a printout of the
2008 application form.
Insurance
All exhibitors must provide evidence of insurance in the
amount of $1,000,000. If you do not have insurance, you may
purchase it through California Fairs Services Authority. Rate:
$100.00 for the entire Fair.

Health Fee
If you are handing out edible samples to promote your
product, you must indicate this on the application. You will be
sent a Food Vendor Permit application and other information
from the San Joaquin County Health Department. The
application must be completed and returnded to the Fair office
along with the permit fee of $25.

Show Hours
4pm to 11pm Wednesday, June 18th & Thursday, June 19th,
2008. 12 noon to 11pm Friday, June 20th - Sunday June
22nd, 2008

Booth Staffing
Your exhibit booth must be staffed at all times the Fair is open
to the public. The exhibit is of no value to either you or
Fairgoers if it is closed and not staffed. Exhibits found to be
un-staffed will not be invited to return next year and may be
closed down during the Fair if it is excessive. Please be sure
your staff is awake, chipper, and ready to sell at all times!

Move In
Monday, June 16th, Tuesday June 17th 8am to 6pm.
Wednesday June 18th, 8am to 12noon. All exhibits must be in
place and complete by Wednesday night. Fair office is open
8am to 6pm to pick up admission and parking passes.

Admission
Each exhibitor will receive 20 admission passes (equals 4
people per day). They are good any day. If you require
additional passes, they may be purchased for $6 and are
good for one day.

Parking
Each exhibitor will receive 20 parking passes for the MAIN or
B Street PARKING LOT (equals 2 vehicles per day). They are
good any day, but do NOT allow in and out privileges.

Inside Parking
Also available. The fee is $50 per space for an assigned
parking space inside the grounds WITH in and out
privileges. You must park in your assigned space.
Vehicles not parked in assigned space will be towed.
No other parking inside grounds will be permitted.

Signs
Signs must be neat and professionally lettered. No hand
lettered signs. Any signs not meeting these requirements
must be removed. For indoor exhibitors, bring your
company's banner, if you have one, and we'll hang it outside
the building. If your sign does not meet quality standards, it
may not be hung. Quality and location are Fair management
decision only.

Prohibited Items
Exhibitors may not display or sell items considered to be
obscene, related to drug use or inappropriate for a family
event. Fair management's decision will be final.

Exhibitors may not sell or distribute posters, T-shirts, or any
other item relating to entertainers appearing at the San
Joaquin County Fair, due to contractual agreements with
the entertainers.

Evaluations
Commercial exhibit displays may be photographed and wil
l be evaluated by Fair staff during regular exhibit hours.
Evaluations may determine which exhibitors are invited to
return. Evaluations will be based on the following:
• Attractiveness of display
• Neatness (clean and tidy)
• Staffed all exhibit hours
• Compliance with rules, regulations and terms of contract

CANCELLATIONS
If an exhibitor finds it necessary to cancel the contract, a
portion of the fees paid may be refunded. If the cancellation
occurs 30 days or more prior to Fair opening day, 25% of the
full exhibit fee will be retained by the Fair and the balance of
the fees paid will be refunded. After 30 days prior to opening
day, there will be NO REFUND. (RV space, inside parking
space, and other non-exhibit fees may be refunded in full if
the cancellation is prior to opening day.) Refunds for late
cancellations will be made within 30 days after conclusion
of the Fair.
